Craft Fusion glass is created by the leading Cornish glass artist Gregg Anston-Race, who lives is on the border between Devon and Cornwall. Gregg’s style is organic, bold and contemporary, strongly influenced by the mining history of Cornwall and the Tamer valley, incorporating the glass minerals found in these mines. His medium is kiln-formed art glass. Every individual piece of glass is handmade and unique. His style is both organic and contemporary and he creates functional, attractive art glass – coasters, bowls and platters - in a variety of designs.

Within Craft Fusion glass, Gregg combines many elements, including metals, fused within the glass. He also uses coloured glass in his lucid, flowing designs. Gregg’s coloured work has rich, tonal quality, pushing the boundaries of what is expected in fused glass. He creates vibrant, accessible pieces.

Gregg studied art and design at college before working for a large glass company, where he discovered his passion for glass and a desire to explore this medium for himself. As a designer also, Gregg is always keen to take on new challenges, to see just how far the art of glass fusion can be developed.

As a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, Gregg only feels content when his work meets the highest standards. He also works to commission, creating individual, bespoke works of art, so do let us know if you would like to commission a specific piece of Craft Fusion glass, for a special gift or for display in a particular place, perhaps.
